Roulette has become a popular casino game and one
which is easy to learn. Roulette is fun and has many
different types of bets which results in the spin
of the wheel and a win or a loss is decided by a little
white ball. Some casino games are complex and need
much attention and thinking. Some players just want
to enjoy a casino game and Roulette
is the answer. Roulette has many different betting
options, from simple to complex and offers a degree
of risk and much excitement. Different bets offer
different risks.
How does Roulette Work?
The Roulette table is comprised of a small white
ball, a wheel and a table which has the betting options
printed on it. There is always a dealer, whether playing
in a land-based casino or online. Every Roulette game
will have a round of placing bets after which the
dealer will spin the Roulette wheel. While the wheel
is spinning the dealer will drop the white ball onto
the wheel and wait until the wheel stops and then
see where the ball has landed. After each spin of
the wheel a new game begins and players must place
their bets for the new round.
When playing Roulette players do not necessarily
need to guess an exact number, but can place bets
on things such as will the number be odd or even.
Every number on the Roulette wheel is marked with
alternating colours of black and red and players can
also place bets on whether the number will be odd
or even. Once again players do not necessarily need
to choose an exact number with this type of bet. By
betting on red or black players can win if they guess
correctly.
Much like in online
pokies, prior to the start of the game, players
will be asked to place bets. At this time players
can decide what they would like to bet on for the
next spin. Bets are then placed by placing the chips
on certain sections of the Roulette table. If a player
wants to bet on black they will place their chips
on the table in the section marked black. If betting
on a particular number they will place their chips
on that number on the Roulette table. For multiple
bets players can place their chips on the various
sections of the table designated for their particular
bet. When playing Roulette in a land-based casino
players will be given different colour chips so that
they can keep track of their own bets as it could
become quite complicated with all the different bets
on the table.
Types of Roulette Bets
There are various bets that players can make when
playing Roulette, and this is what makes it as
popular as Blackjack and other similar casino
games. Individual bets are placed when betting on
a certain number and the player will win only if the
ball lands on that number. There is more risk when
placing this type of bet, but the payout is higher.
Group number bets are placing bets on a group of numbers
such as 1 to 18 or 19 to 25. The wider the range of
numbers the less the payout. For new players placing
bets on certain characteristics is advised such as
red or black or odds or evens.
Roulette is a game that can be enjoyed by high rollers
and novices as it has bets for all types of players
combined with the excitement of spinning the wheel
and seeing where the ball will land.
