From Gina Hutchings
June 2016.

Vegas is known for its crazy nightlife and oversized hotels. Above all it's known as the capital for high stake gamblers, the big rollers who really love a flutter on the Vegas strip. However you do not need to be a poker pro' to visit the casinos and there is plenty to see if you are curious. Here are our top five things to see in Vegas!

1. Meet the King

Elvis Presley was the most famous resident of Las Vegas, Nevada. He first performed Suspicious Minds in the Hotel International, now known as the Westgate.

You can visit the world famous Elvis museum in the centre of Vegas and see a live performance from the best impersonator in town.

2. The dancing fountains

The Bellagio Casino and Hotel is undoubtedly one the most romantic and extravagant venues along the Vegas strip. Every evening you can stop outside and view a free show where the fountains dance to classical music.

3. Visit mini Venice

Take a gondola complete with gondolier (driver) along the mini Venice that surrounds The Venetian. Stop off to pop into the designer shops and grab a cappuccino from the Venetian eateries.

4. Ding Dong

Every year over 50,000 weddings take place in Vegas both in the little drive through chapels to the grand and extravagant hotels and casinos.

The grand hotels along the strip host a number of plush weddings but you can also see some ceremonies take place in downtown Vegas in the drive through chapels.

5. Showgirls

Whether on the strip or in a casino bar you are bound to be approached by a scantily dressed lady at some time or another. As well as showgirls promoting the nightlife and poker rooms many of the bars and clubs employ these stunning women to entice the men into the venues.
