Australian Rules football

With Professor Stephen Clarke

Now retired from Swinburne University School of Mathematical Sciences, Stephen joined OZmium way back in the 2002 AFL season as our expert on sports statistics and AFL football package handicapper. He is the brain behind 'Tinhead', probably the most well known AFL tipping computer Australia has ever had, as featured on Channel Nine's The Footy Show and other media such as the Herald Sun newspaper over the years.

AFL betting package

This package is pitched at serious or professional Australian Rules Football bettors and gives punters a proven edge and excellent prospects of making long term profits from AFL football betting. It is priced accordingly. If you are a very small 'social' type punter on Aussie Rules, this package is probably not suited to your budget. For pricing, click on the link above and the links to current pricing can be found towards the bottom of the page.

For a sample of media articles about Professor Clarke's tipping methods and results, see Clarke Media Articles in the section menu below. Images are scanned from Stephen's scrap book and quality and loading times will vary.

Our AFL clients have provided a lot of very positive feedback. For their comments, follow the link to our AFL Testimonials section in the section menu below.

The inside running

One of the side benefits of being a Smartgambler AFL Package subscriber and member of our AFL insiders mailing forum quickly became evident during our inaugural season.

On Friday 21st June 2002 a Norwegian subscriber brought to our attention an unusual arithmetical blunder by a well known international sports bookmaking site that produced an arbitrage (certain profit by backing both sides) on 3 AFL matches.

Smartgambler clients hit it hard with bets that were guaranteed to at least break even and offered the possibility of huge profits under certain scenarios.

In the second week of the 2002 finals series another international sports bookmaking site accidentally reversed two teams and had the wrong odds posted. Again the Smartgambler AFL Insiders struck, eventually triggering the bookmakers's internal stop loss system, though this time the company concerned voided the bets just in time with a red faced apology.

Since that inaugural year our AFL group has taken advantage of many such errors or bookmaking overs, and the sharing of intelligence has been of great use to our members.
