October 2017

Another top fight in boxing is set to take place in October as the Undefeated Multiple Heavyweight Champion defends his belt against the experienced Carlos Takam following the injury of Pulev. This follows on from a stunning year for boxing in which pound for pounders Canelo and Golovkin finally entered the ring against each other.

Anthony Joshua, now one of the faces of British and World boxing looks to defend his multiple world titles at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff. Joshua is going into the fight looking for his 20th straight KO victory that has only seen him challenged once in his previous 19 fights. This came in his most recent fight against former long standing heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko. This was also to be his final fight as he retired recently as he is sure to enter the boxing hall of fame in the near future.

Carlos Takam will bring a stern challenge for Joshua having had an extensive amateur and professional career. In the professional ranks he has only lost on three occasions. One of his defeats coming against current World Champion Joseph Parker.

You can have your own Betfair boxing bets for this fight and all the other clashes in the coming months. Joshua is going into the fight as the clear 1/50 favourite so is expected to take home his titles.
